When you miss something or someone, you remember how it tasted.

"Um café, por favor." - is the most frequent sentence I used when I took the gap year in Portugal three years ago. Since I came back to Macau, I couldn't find the same cafe here. Recently, I found the cafe, Ramalhão and they got the café I want! When you miss something or someone, you remember how it tasted. Then, all your memory will be played and shuffled in your mind.
TENHO SAUDADES TUAS !
When I attended the Portuguese language class in Portugal, the teacher talked about the unique words in Portuguese. She introduced us the word "saudades". It didn't mean "I miss you.", but more than it, like something missing - "alguma faltas".
I was a bit confused with her explanation but she explained it with her hand tapping her chest like several times.
"You don't realise how far away you are until somewhere you wan to be near."

I didn't know how we will be "saudades" until I left Portugal and started to seek for the tastes from Portugal in Macau - like an epiphany, I realized Saudades!
